Shane Schepens joined Johnsen Archer in May 2010 as a Senior Tax Manager. Shane received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Northern British Columbia. He began his career in public practice in 2001 and has worked a one of the largest international accounting firms for about 9 years, of which, the past 6 years have been specializing in Canadian tax. In addition, Shane also did a sabbatical as a Controller for a large private environmental remediation firm to experience the other side of accounting. Shane has completed levels 1 to 3 of the In-depth Tax courses through the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Shane’s focus is in privately held companies and providing reorganizations, estate planning, and divestitures. 

Shane is also involved in a non-profit senior’s home, Abbeyfield Houses of Vancouver Society, and his church, Real Life Community Church. When not at work, Shane enjoys spending time with his wife Carrie and their two dogs.
